Mental Blocks Are Hard. But She Doesn’t Have to Stay Stuck.
Mental blocks are one of the biggest reasons I became so passionate about the mental side of gymnastics. I know how heartbreaking it can be to watch a gymnast who is physically capable of a skill suddenly feel like her brain and body just won’t let her do it. She may feel frustrated, embarrassed, confused, or like something is wrong with her, while the people who love her are left wondering what they can possibly do to help.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundreds of gymnasts struggling with mental blocks, and one thing I’ve learned is that simply telling a gymnast to “just go” usually isn’t the answer. Mental blocks are real fear responses, and working through them often requires rebuilding safety, trust, confidence, and the connection between the brain and body.
That’s why I created these resources. My guides, workshops, and programs combine my experience as a former NCAA gymnast, mental performance coach, and mental health professional with evidence informed techniques grounded in sport psychology, cognitive behavioral principles, nervous system regulation, visualization, gradual exposure, and confidence building. They’re designed to help your gymnast better understand what she’s experiencing and give her practical tools to work through fear instead of feeling controlled by it.
She isn’t defined by her mental block, and getting unstuck is possible. My goal is to give her, you, and her coaches the tools to help her find her way forward.
A step by step program designed to help your gymnast understand her mental block, calm her nervous system, and safely rebuild confidence in the skills that feel scary. Through 6 short videos, 4 interactive worksheets, science based mental tools, and 4 guided visualizations, she’ll learn how to work with her brain instead of fighting against it. It’s the same framework I use with my 1:1 clients, packaged into a simple system she can start using immediately.
The Mental Block Bundle gives both the gymnast and you the tools they need to work through a mental block together. The gymnast learns practical strategies to understand her fear, retrain her brain, and rebuild confidence, while you, the parent learns how to support her, communicate effectively, and avoid unintentionally adding pressure. One guide for her, one guide for you, so you can approach the mental block as a team.
This 30-page guide helps gymnasts understand why their brain suddenly puts the brakes on skills they know they can do and gives them practical tools to start moving forward. Through 14 mental training strategies, interactive exercises, and a 30 day plan, gymnasts learn how to work through fear, retrain their brain, and rebuild trust in themselves and their skills. It’s designed to help her stop feeling controlled by her mental block and start feeling confident, capable, and in control again.
A practical guide for parents who want to understand what their gymnast is experiencing and support her without accidentally adding more pressure. You’ll learn what to say, what to avoid, how to communicate with her coach, and how to recognize progress even when she hasn’t gotten the skill back yet. It gives you the tools to become a calm, supportive part of her recovery while protecting her confidence, emotional well being, and love for gymnastics.
Sometimes a gymnast needs more than a resource, she needs personalized support for her specific mental block. As a former NCAA gymnast, mental performance coach, and mental health professional, I’ve helped hundreds of gymnasts work through fear, mental blocks, confidence struggles, and overthinking. Through one on one coaching, I help your gymnast understand what’s keeping her stuck and build a personalized plan to help her trust herself, rebuild confidence, and move forward.
