Does your gymnast shine in practice but struggle to show it at meets?
As a former college gymnast, who struggled with being able to bring out my best at competitions, I know how it feels to train so hard in practice and not be able to show it at meets. I could do my skills so well in the gym but when it was time to step in front of a judge, my mind would freeze and suddenly my gymnastics would change. I was inconsistent and it really hurt my confidence as a competitor. Not to mention, I was a nervous wreck! I would put too much pressure on myself, expect perfection and feel devastated if I messed up. If your gymnast can relate to any of this, keep reading!

It’s not a good feeling as a gymnast, and I know as a parent it’s super hard to watch your daughter not see the fruits of all of her hard work that she puts in and self-sabotage her own performances. This is why I created The Confident Competitor Camp! Of course, gymnastics is not all about the results (and that’s something they’ll learn here) but competing is a very important part of the sport and it can make or break a gymnast’s confidence. But it’s not just about being able to bring their A-game to the competition floor - there’s a lot of other factors that shape their competitive experience like, their self-talk, their ability to focus and regulate their emotions if/when things aren’t perfect, and how they handle pressure and nerves.
So here's what she'll learn:
Over two powerful days, your gymnast will be taught how to:
-
Handle nerves and relax so she can focus and enjoy competing.
-
Be more consistent by trusting her training and routines.
-
Bounce back when things go wrong instead of letting one mistake ruin her meet.
-
Become a fierce competitor who believes in herself and performs with confidence.
Through interactive lessons, hands-on drills, and guided mental training exercises, she’ll gain tools she can use immediately — in the gym and in life.
She will get to work in-person with former and current college gymnasts who have mastered the art of competing, a mental health expert, and there will also be a certified judge that she will practice performing in front of so that she can apply everything she’s learned!
Here's some of the amazing women she'll learn from

Peng Peng Lee
Peng-Peng is a former UCLA gymnast and Canadian National Team Member who overcame multiple serious knee surgeries to return to elite gymnastics, and in her final year at UCLA she delivered two perfect 10s at the NCAA Championships to clinch a team title — finishing her career with 10 perfect 10s and being awarded the Honda Sport Award for gymnastics. Peng Peng will be teaching these girls how to become a fierce competitor! Click below to see her in action

Kami Zarlengo
Kami is a current standout gymnast at Texas Woman’s University who has helped TWU win their 13th National title. Kami has a unique story about how she has learned to master her nerves before competing and is also passionate about how her purpose has contributed to this. She is excited to be able to pour into younger gymnasts who want to learn how to do the same! Watch how she overcame the fears and learned to perform below!
